In early 2012 I wrote a series of posts on health care. I argued for a national health-care system in which a single payer (the federal government through tax dollars) would guarantee a basic level of care for each U.S. citizen, but within an existing capitalist system with private health care providers. This model would appropriately balance citizenship and capitalism models and have a stronger foundation in constitutional government. I continue to believe that it would be better for America than either our current system or Obamacare.
